Echoist — Offline Music

Local music, ready offline

Echoist — Offline Music is a local music player for people who keep their listening library on an Android device. It plays stored MP3, FLAC, WAV, AAC and other supported audio files without requiring Wi-Fi or mobile data, making it suited to commutes, travel and places with limited connectivity.

A library built around your collection

The app scans the music on your device and gives you several ways to browse it. Sort tracks by artist, album or genre, use search to locate a specific song, and mark regular listens as favorites. Custom playlists also let you group music by mood, activity or any other system that makes sense for your collection.

• Browse music by artist, album or genre
• Search across the local library
• Create custom playlists
• Keep preferred tracks in a favorites section

Useful controls while you listen

Echoist supports background playback, so music can continue while you use other apps. A sleep timer can stop playback after a chosen period, while the equalizer offers a way to adjust the sound to your headphones, speakers or personal preference. Lyrics are displayed when they are available for a track.

What its reception suggests

Developed by WAKStudios, Echoist sits in the Music & Audio category and has passed 1,000,000 installs. Its average rating is approximately 4.59 out of 5 from 752 reviews. Those figures point to an established choice for listeners who want a focused player for music they already own, rather than a service built around online discovery.
